About Me

I’ve always been drawn to understanding people — what shapes us, what holds us back, and what helps us heal. Becoming a counsellor felt like a natural path for me because I believe everyone deserves a space to be truly heard and supported.

My passion lies in helping people create real, lasting change in their lives. Over the years, I’ve seen how therapy can help someone move from feeling stuck or lost to feeling stronger, calmer, and more confident in who they are. It’s a privilege to walk alongside people during that process.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I’m also trained in EMDR therapy, a specialist approach for trauma and PTSD, which allows me to work deeply and effectively with those recovering from difficult experiences.

With experience in both counselling and the dental field, I bring a unique understanding to supporting people with dental anxiety and to delivering wellbeing workshops for dental teams — combining emotional insight with practical, real-world awareness.

Qualifications and Experience

I believe in practising therapy with integrity, continual learning, and dedication. Below is a snapshot of my background — the qualifications, training, and experience that underpin my work as a counsellor and EMDR therapist.

I ensure that I keep my skills sharp, staying current with research, and broadening my therapeutic toolkit. Some of the ongoing training areas I pursue include:

  • Mindfulness-based approaches and techniques

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) training

  • Bereavement and grief counselling methods

  • Suicide awareness and prevention training

  • Workshops, conferences, and seminars in trauma, resilience, and new therapeutic models
